Special needs students are already being measured for the 2016 school year uniforms

Date 21/9/2015

It was announced that special needs students are already being measured for the 2016 school year uniforms.

It was necessary to measure the students before, when they were presented with the same uniform as other students, because they were having trouble fitting them due to their size. The measuring tool was introduced to solve the problem, said Daniel Asrat, Director of Special Needs Education and Adult Basic Education Directorate of the Addis Ababa City Administration Education Bureau.

The director added that the measurement is being conducted for 1112 students who have been identified as needing measurement based on the information collected from each school, including today, for two days in schools selected as the center of the city by measurement experts from colleges under the Technical and Vocational Bureau. They explained that it will be delivered to them.

Teacher Ababaye Shefferau is a special needs teacher at Kokebe Tsibeha Primary School and she explained Some of the special needs students had difficulty wearing the uniforms that were sewn together with other students because of the medicine they use.
