Based on the new curriculum, it was announced that the evaluation of the pre-primary and secondary textbooks, which was implemented on a trial basis, is nearing completion.

At the same time, the Amharic textbooks for the 9th and 10th grades, where the new curriculum has been implemented on a trial basis, are being evaluated by the teachers from the schools and the education experts of the office. He pointed out that information based on strong ideas that should be included in the process has been collected from teachers in each school, and he explained that currently the evaluation has reached its final stage and preparations for publication have been completed.

The director of Afan Oromo Curriculum Development and Implementation Directorate at the Addis Ababa City Administration Education Bureau, Balai Negash, said that the book, which was prepared for 9th and 10th grade students who learn Afan Oromo as their mother tongue, is being evaluated by teachers from the schools and the office's education experts. He noted that the process includes inputs collected from the schools and the necessary design and illustration work has been done and the books are ready for publication.

Orientation was given on new software Which is designed to collect Annual Education data.

The information management team of the Addis Ababa City Administration Education Bureau gave an orientation on new software designed to collect annual Education data.

The orientation was given to selected district information and ICT experts, and the orientation was given by Mr. Alemneh Selaku, who is an information management expert in the office, based on XAMPP software from the Ministry of Education.

The software was prepared by the Ministry of Education to be sent to the concerned parties by filling in the education information of the year 2015. The head of the information management team of the Addis Ababa City Administration Education Bureau, Mr. Deseta Abreham, said that the information experts who participated in the orientation understood properly how to install the software and how to use it. They explained that they are required to organize information.

Life skills training

Addis Ababa City Administration Education Bureau's Department of Multidisciplinary and Early Childhood Affairs Directorate gave life skills training to the general staff of the Bureau.

In her message at the opening of the training, the Director of the Directorate of Multicultural and Early Childhood Affairs of Education Bureau, Ms. BLaynesh Yeshaw, said that one of the activities carried out by the Directorate of Multicultural and Early Childhood Affairs is the prevention of HIV and AIDS, life skills training that helps people to understand themselves and the community properly and lead a healthy life.

Addis Ababa City Administration Education Bureau, HIV AIDS Prevention and Control Specialist, Ms. Genezeb Desalen, said that life skills training enables people to develop healthy and virtuous behaviors and protect themselves and their environment from HIV AIDS and other related problems. She announced that they should protect themselves from various offensive actions by doing so.

The training was given by Mr. Hailemariam, a life skills trainer known for providing life skills training and consulting in the field for many years.

Discussion on current national issues....

The Addis Ababa City Administration Education Bureau held a discussion on current national issues in which the entire staff of the Bureau was present.

In the discussion, a discussion document titled "Strengthening Our Victories and Overcoming Challenges" was presented by Mr. Sisay, Head of the Bureau of Education, and discussed by the participants.

The Head of Addis Ababa City Administration Education Bureau, Dr. Zelalem Mulatu, in his message during the discussion, emphasized that the discussion is a discussion at every level so that our country Ethiopia can move to a better phase of peace and development by strengthening and continuing the victories it has achieved following the change and based on the challenges faced in the same process.

Addis Ababa City Administration Education Bureau reviewed the implementation of the Bureau's nine-month plan in the presence of the entire staff.

In the discussion, the implementation of the Bureau's nine-month plan for the 2015 academic year was presented by Mr. Getahun Lema, Director of the Planning Budget Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate.

Addis Ababa City Administration Education Bureau Deputy Bureau Head, Dannew Gebru, in his message in the discussion, pointed out that the contribution of experts to the results achieved by the Bureau in the education development work in the fiscal year is significant and emphasized that it is necessary to work to achieve better results in the conclusion of the fiscal year based on the tasks that were not performed in the remaining months.
